INSTALLATION

This Mod Is Primarily For S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Patch 1.0004 Version  

For Patch 1.0005 compatibility: a System File has been included in the download folder. Please read further for the instructions.

 

 CAUTION

THIS MOD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER MODs.

Please Do NOT Download and/or Install any unauthorized files of any nature whatsoever offered by any persons, sites or links other than the downloads here.

 

Any such unauthorized files can seriously harm your NEWSA+SIMBION_tweaked Mod,  your S.T.A.L.K.E.R.  game and your PC Operating Software and can also contain Viruses, Trojans and any other Malware.

 

  • Trying to RUN this with other mods will result in damaging this mod and the others involved as well as causing possibly serious damage to your STALKER installation.

  • The compilation NEWSA.SIMBION_Tweak 3.0 is COMPLETE and READY-to-PLAY, which means that you MUST NOT add any additional files at all from any other source.

  • All News and Updates  are  ONLY available  from this website and in MY OWN posts  on the dedicated thread on  S.T.A.L.K.E.R.mod Forum as linked here:

  • Please DO NOT change any settings at all, as this will cause a chain response and stability will be affected.

 

INSTALLING the MOD for the FIRST TIME 

 

1-   Check your STALKER directory to see if you already have a mod installed there.  If you have one, either delete this existing gamedata folder (or rename it such as: XXGamedata, and then install NEWSA.SIMBION_Tweak 3.0.  So, you won’t lose your previous Mod(s) and when you wish to switch back, you can just reverse the process.)

2-    Double click on the installer. If the suggested default installation location (which will be your  C Drive, Program files-THQ-Stalker Directory) then browse to your installation folder and set the installation location on the installer accordingly.

3-   The installer will create a “gamedata” folder in your STALKER directory if you don’t have one. If you have already a gamedata folder, please be  careful that there are no other files remaining in that folder as this will corrupt the installation. 

There is an uninstaller, too; though you may not need it, because all you need to do to uninstall the mod is to delete the folder, simple. Uninstaller may sometimes leave a few files behind in the gamedata folder. So, if you use it, please check your gamedata folder and make it sure that it’s fully empty before installing another (new) mod in your gamedata folder.

 

NEXT :

You also need to change a line on your fsgame.ltx file that resides in your Stalker directory. If you have been using a mod, you’ve certainly done that by now, but if you haven’t done it, this is the way it should be performed:

Change the "false" to "true" on the second line of fsgame.ltx. It should look like this:

$game_data$                      = true| true|    $fs_root$|                   gamedata\

 

 

 ONE MORE THING TO DO :

 
Right click on the icon with which you start S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and click on the “Properties” on drop-down menu. Then, on Properties box, click on “Shortcut” tab and find the text-box that says “target:”


On the target box, add: -nointro
It should look like this:
 

"C:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\XR_3DA.exe" -nointro

 

 

 

Enabling  S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Patch 1.0005  Version  Compatibility:

 

 Inside the Patch 1.0005 Compatibility Folder:

 

-Then please read the enclosed text file for information.

-There is a gamedata folder inside.  Copy this gamedata folder into your installation directory gamedata folder, overwrite the system.ltx when asked.
